What did you learn?
I learned about the specifications of a public service announcement. These messages can convey important information and raise awareness about a topic. I need to choose one or more of the stages of genocide and connect those themes to a modern problem to encourage people to take action. What questions do you still have? Is the audience I aim for a group of people who agree with my statement? Do we have to aim to change a person's mind on a topic or encourage like-minded people to take action? What are you curious about? How often are the ten stages of genocide present today? What did you learn?
I learned about the ten stages of genocide and how they connect to Hitler's dictatorship over Germany. What questions do you still have? Did some people fight back against Hitler's flawed reasoning about Jews at first? If so, how? What were the specifications for German purity, or the Aryan race? What was it like for people from banned political parties. Did they adapt to Hitler's ideas? What are you curious about? Was there propaganda for groups discriminated against other than Jews? How often were people misidentified as Jew or other discriminated groups and put into concentration camps? What were the conditions of concentration camps, and what are some stories from survivors? What did you learn?
I learned that reparation payments from the Treaty of Versailles and the Great Depression caused Germany to sink into economic crisis. Additionally, Germany tried to form a fair democratic government called the Weimar Republic. However, extremest leaders such as Hitler decided to take action to gain control over the government. What questions do you still have? What problems did Hitler have against communism and Stalin? What are you curious about? Why did Hitler make people think Jews were the ones to blame? Did Hitler truly believe in the things he preached, or did he exaggerate ideas to manipulate people? What are the three most interesting things you have learned about WWI through your research?
I've learned about the impact animals had on the lives of troops, the rise of the Women's Land Army, and the remarkable event known as the Christmas Truce. I loved reading about how a baboon was able to become an independent soldier, and I enjoyed revisiting the astonishing event that was the Christmas Truce. Questioning
Collaboration Research Project Management Craftsmanship Public Product Reflection What is going to be the easiest part of the Learning Process for you and why do you think this? What is going to be the hardest? Research is probably the easiest part of the process because, for the artifacts, I know I can look for items, people, pictures, or propaganda. To add, it should be easy to find information by reading articles and watching videos. Project management might be the hardest part of the process because I am not sure how I should arrange all of my artifacts on the page. I still need to figure out how to relate all of the artifacts together to tell as much as I can about WWI. |
